Mark Vinzent S. Raymundo and Art Joyce C. Serrano from the UP Department of Geodetic Engineering have earned Second Place in the Research Category of the 2024 Undergraduate Project Competition: Dr. Francis Chua Innovation Awards. Their research, "Stairway to Heaven: Assessing the Level of Service of Nepa Q-Mart EDSA Carousel Station Through a 3D Object-Oriented Simulation," applies an innovative simulation approach to evaluate public transportation efficiency, contributing valuable insights to urban mobility solutions.

This achievement was made possible with the guidance of their advisers, Dr. Ayin M. Tamondong, Asst. Prof. Karl Adrian P. Vergara, and Dr. Noriel Christopher C. Tiglao. Their mentorship played a crucial role in refining the study and ensuring its impact in addressing real-world transportation challenges.
