The 50th Department Seminar featured Asst. Prof. Mark Edwin A. Tupas, who presented advanced methodologies in global flood mapping using Bayesian algorithms, high-performance computing, and SAR data cubes. The seminar provided insights into the integration of geospatial technologies for improved flood monitoring and disaster response.

Participants of the DGE Skills Workshop: “It’s More Than Just a Pub” gained practical insights on visual communication for scientific applications. Held on October 26, 2024, at Melchor Hall, the workshop featured Ms. Maria Louella P. Tinio, who guided attendees in effectively presenting complex information through design and layout techniques.

UP Diliman achieved a 94.59% passing rate in the October 2024 Geodetic Engineers Licensure Examination (GELE), securing the #1 Top Performing School title. Among the passers, Kent Jeremy O. Batilo placed Top 3, while Melissa Alliana M. De Leon ranked Top 5.

The UP Training Center for Applied Geodesy and Photogrammetry (TCAGP) marked its 60th anniversary with a series of events, including a research exhibit, department seminars featuring alumni success stories, and a culminating dinner. The celebration highlighted six decades of contributions to geospatial research, education, and industry collaboration.
