Dr. Ayin Tamondong Appointed as New UP DGE Chairperson

Dr. Ayin M. Tamondong has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the UP Department of Geodetic Engineering (UP DGE) and Director of the UP Training Center for Applied Geodesy and Photogrammetry (UP TCAGP), succeeding Dr. Czar Jakiri S. Sarmiento, whose leadership brought significant achievements to the department.

The UP Department of Geodetic Engineering (UP DGE) and UP Training Center for Applied Geodesy and Photogrammetry (UP TCAGP) proudly welcome Dr. Ayin M. Tamondong as the new Department Chairperson and Training Center Director for the term April 2024 – March 2027.

Dr. Tamondong’s exemplary leadership and dedication to geodetic engineering and research will guide the department in its pursuit of academic and technological excellence. With her visionary approach, UP DGE and UP TCAGP aim to further strengthen their programs, research initiatives, and industry collaborations.

The department also expresses its deepest gratitude to Dr. Czar Jakiri S. Sarmiento for his exceptional leadership from December 2020 to March 2024. Under his tenure, the department and training center achieved remarkable milestones, advancing geodetic engineering education and research.
