The University of the Philippines (UP), through its Training Center for Applied Geodesy and Photogrammetry (TCAGP), and RASA Surveying and Realty/RASA Surveying Instruments (RASA Surveying) formalized their partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on May 4, 2023. The agreement aims to enhance academic cooperation and foster mutual understanding between the two institutions, focusing on collaborative research, student internships, and information sharing.

UP was represented at the event by Dr. Czar Jakiri Sarmiento, UP Department of Geodetic Engineering Chairman and TCAGP Director, Dr. Maria Antonia "Tonette" Tanchuling, Dean of the College of Engineering, Engr. Alfonso "Tito" Aliga Jr., Executive Director of UP ERDFI, and Dr. Eric Augustus Tingatinga, Associate Dean for Alumni & Institutional Linkages. Representing RASA Surveying was its president, Raymund Arnold S. Alberto, a distinguished UP DGE alumnus.

This partnership highlights the shared commitment of UP TCAGP and RASA Surveying to advancing the field of geodetic engineering in the Philippines. By fostering innovation and excellence through collaborative efforts, the agreement lays the foundation for future projects that will benefit both institutions and society as a whole.
