The University of the Philippines Department of Geodetic Engineering (UP DGE) officially welcomed its new batch of BS GE first-year students through a department orientation aimed at preparing them for their academic journey. A total of 67 students attended the event, which was conducted in a hybrid setup to accommodate both onsite and online participants, including parents.

During the session, students were introduced to the department’s faculty and staff, provided with an overview of the BS GE curriculum, and briefed on important academic matters such as registration, field activities, and requirements. Representatives from student organizations also shared their programs and initiatives, encouraging active participation in extracurricular activities.

A pre-advising session was conducted following the orientation, ensuring students were well-prepared for their advance registration the next day. The event emphasized the department’s commitment to supporting students through various academic and student welfare services.
