UP DGE Student-Athletes Triumph in UAAP Season 86

UP DGE students showcased their athletic excellence in UAAP Season 86. Sean Levyn Panganiban of the UP Men’s Judo Team won gold, while Kensaku Hatazawa and Cindy Fernandez of the UP Varsity Swim Team earned multiple gold and bronze medals, with Cindy setting a new UAAP record.

The UP Department of Geodetic Engineering (UP DGE) celebrates the remarkable achievements of its student-athletes who delivered outstanding performances in UAAP Season 86. Competing in judo and swimming, these students brought home multiple medals and upheld the university’s excellence in both academics and athletics.

Sean Levyn Panganiban of the UP Men’s Judo Team emerged as a UAAP champion, securing the gold medal in his division. His victory showcased skill, discipline, and dedication, adding to UP’s legacy in the sport.

Kensaku Hatazawa of the UP Varsity Swim Team delivered a strong performance in the pool, earning gold in the Men’s 4x200 Freestyle Relay and the Men’s 4x50 Freestyle Relay, along with a bronze in the 4x100 Freestyle Relay. His contributions helped solidify UP’s standing in the competition.

Cindy Fernandez of the UP Varsity Swim Team also made waves, clinching gold in the Women’s 4x100 Freestyle Relay while setting a new UAAP record. She further secured a bronze in the Women’s 4x50 Freestyle Relay, marking another milestone for UP Swimming.

These victories reflect the dedication and perseverance of UP DGE’s student-athletes, who continue to excel in both their academic and athletic pursuits.
